Dear Middle School Parent/Guardian,
Your student has been invited to participate in the Marlboro County District Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) education program. Marlboro Schools will use an evidence-based and medically accurate abstinence education program which has demonstrated positive behavioral outcomes for teens. The curriculum is Choosing the Best (CTB) and Marlboro County teachers are trained in the CTB multi-level and age-appropriate curricula.
Because of the nature of some of the topics, Marlboro County Schools encourages you to preview the class materials. These can be viewed by appointment at the school or the district office.
A parent consent form will be coming home today. If you don't want your child to participate, please sign and return the opt-out consent form. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ms. Ava A. Cain.
